What are the clinic timings and where is the clinic?
Kalka Gastro Liver & Obesity Clinic, 10/22 Nehru Enclave East, Kalkaji, New Delhi 110019, is open Monday to Saturday from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm and closed on Sunday. The nearest metro station is Nehru Enclave on the Magenta Line, near the Nehru Place flyover.
Can I send my reports before the appointment?
Yes, and it helps. Endoscopy, colonoscopy, CT, MRI, MRCP, manometry and biopsy reports can be sent on WhatsApp to +91 96861 37977 before you come. They are reviewed ahead of the consultation, so the appointment is spent on the decision rather than on paperwork. Bring the original films and CDs with you where possible.
Where are endoscopic procedures performed?
Diagnostic endoscopy is performed at the Kalkaji clinic with advanced zoom endoscopes and image-enhanced endoscopy. Advanced procedures — POEM, ESD, EUS and ERCP — are performed at Fortis Escorts Liver & Digestive Diseases Institute, Okhla Road and at Holy Family Hospital, with anaesthesia, ICU and surgical backup available.
Can I get a second opinion if I live outside Delhi?
Yes. Patients send records from across the NCR and from outside Delhi. Send your medical records, endoscopy reports, imaging and details of previous treatment on WhatsApp, and these are reviewed as part of a second-opinion consultation before any treatment is recommended.
Do I need to fast before a consultation?
No. Fasting is only required if an endoscopy is planned during the same visit, so mention any such plan when you book and you will be told what to do. If you take blood thinners, say so at the time of booking, as they may need to be adjusted before a procedure.
