H. pylori is a bacteria that can cause stomach ulcers and gastritis. It occurs mainly in children. Only 20% of infected people show symptoms. Symptoms include dull or burning abdominal pain, unplanned weight loss, and vomiting blood. Ulcers caused by H pylori are usually treated with combinations of antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors.
